Birding is a hobby that can take you everywhere and all through your life.Following the birding trail in every state of the USA or in every country of the world brings you in touch with other birds as well as the local folks. But somewhere, somehow, no matter where you are, you are always attuned to those who can fly above it all, travel without a ticket, stretch their legs, and eat from the smorgasbord of nature, as nature lays it out for them.
Birding is also a great sport to introduce to children. Just as it brings you into contact with nature, philosophy, poetry, photography, music, etc., birding can do the same for your kids. And that can start in your own backyard.
